The Tsing Ma bridge on the left, Kowloon in the centre and Hong Kong island on the right.

Brief Moments

Looking out at Kowloon.

A view of Central (Hong Kong island)

The Tsing Ma Bridge, with Disneyland in the foreground.

After a brief break in the rain today, I was treated to some really nice views of Hong Kong.  Normally it is very hard to see due to poor air quality, but I guess the rain helped today.

Meet Wibbles

One of our first priorities on arriving here was to adopt a companion for Suzie. We found Wibbles through Hong Kong Alley Cat Watch, which is a charity that homes stray & abandoned cats and also runs a catch, neuter & release program. Wibbles is a special cat. He has Cebellar Hypoplasia. Basically his mom caught a virus while pregnant and as a result his cerebellum didn't develop properly, resulting in impaired motor skills. In a nut shell, he looks like he is drunk! It causes him no pain or discomfort and he has a normal life expectancy. Sadly many CH kitties are needlessly euthanized, mostly due to lack of understanding and awareness about the condition. He is the most loveable little kitty and is super playful! We have had him a week now and I can't imagine not having him in my life.
